about the author
Jennifer Kaminsky
Jennifer Kaminsky, LCSW, MBA is a licensed clinical social worker, leadership consultant, and children’s book author who creates meaningful, emotionally rich stories for children ages 3–8. With an extensive background in behavioral health and human development, Jennifer brings clinical insight and heart-centered storytelling together in every book she writes.
Her children’s stories are thoughtfully grounded in social-emotional learning (SEL), helping young readers explore emotions, friendships, confidence, and self-awareness in developmentally appropriate ways. Through relatable animal characters and gentle, reflective narratives, her books support children in understanding their feelings, celebrating their individuality, and building resilience.
Inspired by her clinical work with children and families, Jennifer designs each story as a bridge between emotional growth and everyday life. Her books serve as practical tools for parents, educators, therapists, and caregivers seeking to nurture empathy, emotional regulation, and healthy social development.
Jennifer lives in the United States, where she continues to create picture books that foster kindness, emotional intelligence, and the confidence for every child to embrace who they are.
